Questioning the expectations towards women and motherhood, Octopussy is an installation that adopts some typical features of contemporary spiritual yearning, which all deal with the trade of truth and happiness, including mediation, yoga, and self-care. In a bid to celebrate feminine sexuality, the artist hung a large piece of painted fabric representing a vagina. The imposing organ invites the viewer into a short mediation, during which one is taken on acoustic trip made of trap beats and popular quotes from contemporary science, art and music gurus, including Donna Haraway, Rihanna, Virginia Woolf, Suzanne Simard, among others. Die Erwartungen an Frauen und Mutterschaft in Frage stellend, ist Octopussy eine Installation, welche einige typische Merkmale der zeitgenössischen spirituellen Sehnsüchte aufgreift, die sich alle mit dem Handel mit der Wahrheit und dem Glück befassen, einschliesslich Meditation, Yoga und Selbstsorge. Um die weibliche Sexualität zu feiern, hängte die Künstlerin eine grossformatige, gemalte Stoffarbeit auf, die eine Vagina darstellt. Das imposante Organ lädt den Betrachter zu einer kurzen Meditation ein, die uns mitnimmt auf eine akustische Reise bestehend aus Trap-Beats und populären Zitaten von zeitgenössischen Wissenschafts-, Kunst- und Musikgurus, darunter Donna Haraway, Rihanna, Virginia Woolf und Suzanne Simard.
